What colour is your anorak?
not to go to a job interview (hold the disappointed sighs please). It
was to attend his:

Here's how it went. First the competitors met outside Oxford Street station
The starting point was drawn out of a hat (by the previous tube challenge record holder) - St James Park.
The competitors then did their best to travel all of zone 1's tube
station in a record time so they get to the pub as fast a possible and
enjoy a few drinks and be merry.
Oh yes, I nearly forgot, they also wanted to know how well they and the other teams had done.
And the winning team who came all the way from Sweden for the event was
handed a trophy (somehow I appear to have no pictures with both Håkan Wolgé and Patrick Silleu - sorry Patrick)
When the pub finally opened the function room upstairs the competitors
moved on to serious things like drinking, comparing routes and
preparation, selling cds (Anthony Smith's - stand on the right please
of course), discussing further challenges, joking, talking, taking more
pictures...
A great day, but don't just take my word for it, go read Geoff's account of the day, or Annie Mole's. I expect Tube Guru will have an update soon too.
As for me I am thinking about the design for next year's cake of course.

(22.5.05 22:28) How do you find about things like this? |

Adrian / Website (25.5.05 15:55) All the tube stations. Thats insanity, I tell you. |

Neil / Website (25.5.05 23:10) You don't fancy your chances then? Real men do all 275 of course ... |
|
(26.5.05 11:45) you find some very unual things to get up to, |
|
(26.5.05 21:28) Neil, not sure I'd want to challenge Sevitz to seize your record, the man definetly can run. Told you the countryside would not do me much good. |
|
Neil / Website (27.5.05 10:56) He may be able to run but Hakan and Patrick proved last Friday that it's not all in the speed of your legs. Anyway, from what I heard, most of the running he does is after girls ... ;-) |
